Lazy Girl Hacks:
Keys to a Successful Morning Routine
As lazy girls, we hate mornings. I mean, who doesn’t… really…
Over the years I have come up with hacks that keep me going in the morning so I can get as much sleep as possible, but still get out the door looking like a decent human being.
1. Pre-pack your lunch:
this is an obvious one, but does need to be said. You should ALWAYS pack your lunch the night before. If you don’t pack your lunch the night before, you’re setting yourself up for either rushing around even more in the morning OR buying something really bad for you in the vending machines at work. DON’T FALL INTO THE TRAP! I personally meal prep on the weekends, and will be doing a post all about meal prepping soon. It’s the best decision I made for my week and takes the hassle out of getting ready for the next day!
2. Pre-pick out your outfit:
I’m sure my fiance loves looking at my clothes in our bathroom during the week… not. But for me, picking out my outfit the night before is one less thing on my mind in the morning. I sometimes change up what I’m wearing and don’t go with what I picked the night before, but at least there’s something there
3. Pre-pack your bag:
I always have everything ready to go in the morning, all I have left to do is pack up my laptop that’s charging. It’s super simple to do and keeps me ready to run out the door.
4. Set up your breakfast things & set your coffee on auto:
I have EVERYTHING out for my breakfast in the morning. I have to eat breakfast in the morning or I get sick, so it’s something I can’t cut out of my routine. I put my plate, cup, coffee mug, everything out on the counter before bed. I also get the coffee ready and have it set to start making promptly at 6 so it’s always waiting for me.
5. Use an easy make-up routine:
I did an entire blog post about my 3 product makeup routine here. It’s perfect because I look more awake but it took me all of a minute to do.
6. Put your alarm clock across the room:
Maybe I should have started with this one, but for real. This has changed EVERYTHING for me. I can’t keep sleeping if my pesky alarm keeps going off!
That’s it! Those are all my tips for creating a successful lazy girl morning routine! What do you do to help you get ready quickly? Let me know! I’m always up for more laziness in my life!
